Alphabet Inspired Home Accessories From Next Home

Hello Friends,

I'm back with an alphabet inspired post for you all. I can't believe that we are already in October!.. The year seems to be flying by way too fast! Today, I am here to share with you my love for Next Home. I absolutely love Next Home, I can spend hours looking around in their stores for home interior decorative accessories or just home and furniture items in general. While I was recently browsing their website / store I came across a few alphabet inspired items so I thought I'd share them with you all.

Wooden Alphabet Word Blocks: I like the idea of having alphabets in decorative blocks. You can use them to spell anything or word of your choice. Or you could just use them to display your initials which is also kinda cool. It can be wall mounted or free standing as a display on a shelf or as a decoration on a display unit. The blocks are available for £5.00 each.

Lit Silver Glitter Monogram Letters: These are similar to the word blocks. The glitter monogram letters have little light bulbs on them which are battery operated. I like that you can turn the lights on for additional effects. The glitter Monogram letters can also be wall mounted or free standing. The Monogram letters are available for £20.00 each.

Alphabet Cushion: I'm liking the alphabet cushions! They're kinda cute. The cushions are available in all 26 letters of the alphabet plus &, Heart and Hashtag symbols. The cushions are available for £5.00 each.

Chrome Finish Alphabet Metal Hooks: I like these!.. You can use these to customise your hanging hooks. You can play around with it, use it to spell out your favourite quote, word or just a simple initial or even your name. You could have a little fun with it, have it however you want it. The metal hooks are available for £6.00 each.

Alphabet Filled Scented Candle: I think the candles look cute!.. Having a letter of the alphabet on it, possibly your initials, personalises the candle, which gives it a nice little touch. The candle is Jasmine fragranced. Pretty floral bouquet with white lily, honeysuckle and jasmine notes, which is meant to burn for up to 40 hours. The scented candles are available for £4.00 each.

That's all friends, hope you enjoyed it! For those of you that know Next Retail, what are your thoughts on the store? Do you love it like I do?.. Or is there another home/furniture store that is your favourite that I should know about? Please feel free to share or comment below...

Taking a walk round Hardwick Hall Park | OOTD

Hello Friends,

It's been a long time coming, finally I'm posting an Outfit Of The Day post yay!.. Better late than never right?.. 🙂 The bf and I went for a walk round Hardwick Hall Park, Sedgefield. It was a nice sunny day (although it was a bit of a mix weather wise) but was also quite windy. The wind made it quite tricky when taking pictures, but I managed to pick some out to share with you guys. My outfit of the day was a casual outfit/laid back look. The top and denim dungarees are from H&M and my shoes were an old pair of trainers that I got from NewLook. Speaking of H&M, I have been loving their stuff recently and it's slowly becoming one of my favourite high street shops.. What's your favourite high street shop?.. Please feel free to comment below and let me know.

The walk round Hardwick hall was nice and peaceful.. I couldn't help myself, I had to also take some scenery pictures. The last picture kinda reminds me of Disney princess Rapunzel's castle!.. Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair!... Haha random I know, but I just had to add that lol. So that's it guys, my first OOTD post. Hope you liked it!

Catch up with you all later!

Ciao! X

My Top Few Places I would like to Visit

Hello Friends,

During a recent Twitter chat I attended, the discussion was based around travel. This got me thinking more about the places I would like to visit. The world is so large and there are so many places to see! From known tourist attractions to hidden gems. There are so many places that I would like to visit to be fair. If I was to list all, the list might be slightly too long to put in this post lol. I will however only mention a selected few. I have been thinking lately that I would love to travel more (with my gorgeous bf that is!..😊) and explore more of what the world has to offer..

Because life is just way too short not to! So, where do I start?.. *Insert Alicia Keys New York Part Lyrics*.. Baby, I'm from New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of there's nothing you can't do now you're in New York, these streets will make you feel brand new big lights will inspire you Hear it from New York, New York, New York!...

New York:

Number one on my list and not in any particular order is, New York city NYC girl!.. New York is right on top my list! A trip to the big apple is definitely a must. A trip to New York wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Empire State Building. Once the world’s tallest buildings, it remains a definitive feature of the cityscape. I would love to take a stroll in Central Park, visit Time Square and seeing the Statue of Liberty is also a must. Not forgetting the shops!! I will definitely looooove hitting those shops.. From 5th Avenue checking out Tiffany & Co and what not.. and also seeing what Bloomingdale’s has to offer! Sticking with the States, another place I would really love to visit is Florida!...

Florida:

I would so love to visit Florida. Those beaches and of course, a visit to the Universal Studios theme park located in Orlando, maybe I might get to meet Minnie Mouse or Mickey haha. Moving on to the completely opposite side of the world, the next place that I'd love to visit is Australia!..

Australia:

What can I say?.. Being able to visit Australia is a dream. In fact being able to visit any of these places is a dream. From watching Home and Away and Neighbours when I was little seeing those beaches of theirs to growing up thinking you know what?.. I would like to visit Australia maybe I can learn how to surf lol. It's not just the beaches that I would like to see, of course I would like to go the full hog and do a few tourist things... You've just got to don't you! (haha). Another place I have been told so much about and would probably like to visit also is New Zealand!

New Zealand:

New Zealand is a country that had recently just cropped up on my to go places!.. It's somewhere the bf suggested that he would like to go and with what I have also heard of the country, that makes 2 of us that would like to visit. Moving into the Europe territory, the next place I would like to visit is Paris!

Paris:

Paris, the capital of France!.. Paris is a major European city and a global centre for art, fashion and culture. Where do I start with Paris?... Top of the list of places I want or must visit while in Paris is definitely famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and the cafes. I have heard that the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques which is right up my street! The next place I would like to visit (Thanks to Instagram and some bloggers) is the beautiful Santorini!

Santorini:

Well, well... I can thank the wonderful world of social media for bring Santorini to my attention. I must say, looking at the beautiful pictures of Santorini has definitely made me want to visit the place. Santorini, the Volcanic Greek isle of white cliff towns (So I've read) have been visited by some bloggers who has blog posts and beautiful Instagram pictures of the place. It looks so pretty with it's white and blue buildings and the sea looks so gorgeously blue and just lovely. Santorini is definitely one place I have now added to my list which I had never even thought of or even known existed. Last but not the least, tah dah!... The beautiful Bahamas!!...

The Bahamas:

The Bahamas, paradise Island!.. Who wouldn't want to go to the Bahamas?.. It's just the ultimate destination isn't it... Chilling on the beach on a beautiful Island is my Idea of a perfect relaxed holiday.  When I think, where in the world would I love most to go for a relaxing, completely chilled out beach resort holiday (money no worry) it would have to be the Bahamas. Definitely my top destination and way up there on my list.

That's all peeps! Where in the world would you like to visit and why?.. Please feel free to share some ideas with me by commenting below. I will like to see if there is anywhere I should be adding to my list that I may not be aware of or might have just missed. Or maybe just places you would like to visit in general!

Top 5 ASOS Bomber Jacket Picks for Spring..

Hi Friends,

Today's post is about my recent interest in Bomber Jackets!.. It's spring and the weather is generally a nice cool breeze, slightly warmer in the afternoon and cooler at night. It's got me thinking about light jackets that work for British weather. I had a browse on the web and noticed in general, while out and about, that Bomber Jackets could be the jacket for this season. I like the look, simple yet stylish. The Bomber Jackets could be the must have jacket for the season and it goes with most outfits. I have picked out a few that I've got my eyes on... lets say my 5 picks for spring! 3 out of the 5 jackets are the same style just in different colours. Although, the colours that I have picked aren't exactly bright colours fitting in with the whole spring vibe etc.. If you know me,  you'll no that I'm not really that much into bright colours. I think it's because I'm not sure if it suits me lol.. and just not that brave enough to try it. Saying that, maybe one day I might just give it a try and surprise myself!.. My top 5 picks are;

 1. ASOS Longline Bomber With Tipping - Grey Marl

 2. ASOS Longline Bomber With Tipping - Black

Both Jackets are for £28.00 - They can be paired with most casual outfits and look so comfy! Light, not too heavy jackets to wear on top of your outfit during this season.

3. ASOS Petite Bomber Jacket - Khaki

4. ASOS The Bomber Jacket In Jersey - Navy

The petite bomber in khaki and the bomber jacket in jersey navy are both £22.00.

5. ASOS The Bomber Jacket In Jersey - Black

Those are my picks friends!.. With the ASOS Bomber Jacket In Jersey, if you wanted the black and charcoal colours you can actually save yourself 10% off if you purchase the 2 pack - the pack contains both colours for £40.00.

That's it peeps! Till next time.. Ciao!

Later's! X

Impulse Body Fragrance Spray | Be Surprised Violets & Red Fruits | Sweet Smile Pear & Jasmine

Hi Friends,

Today I'll like to share with you my favourite body fragrance, Impulse! Impulse is the everyday body fragrance that I currently use. It suits me well and is quite compact to just pop into the handbag for a fragrance boost later lol.

Impulse has different fragrances which makes it easy to choose which ever one suits you. Impulse has the slogan of “Men can’t help acting on Impulse” to reaffirm the brand’s mission to inspire spontaneous, romantic gestures from men by helping women to smell and feel gorgeous. Aww, which woman wouldn't like to feel and smell gorgeous hey? Nice slogan.

There are a few other options of fragrances out there to choose from nowadays but, I somehow find myself sticking with Impulse because I just love body spray. Even though there are so many varieties to choose from, my favourites are Be Surprised, Sweet Smile and Secret Smile. (Although Secret Smile isn't currently available in the shops at the moment - hope they bring it back) I've tried some others i.e Impulse tease etc... but I personally prefer the ones I've chosen.

Be Surprised is an exotic mix of Violets & Red Fruits which oozes character,

Sweet Smile is a Pear & Jasmine fusion scent which lifts spirits and makes you smile,

Secret Smile is a combination of Raspberry and Gardenia.

So, that's my favourite body fragrance peeps. What's yours?.. Are you an impulse person too? Or is there another body spray brand that you are loving or use at the moment?.. Feel free to drop a comment below to share if you wish and I'll catch up with you all later!..

Oversized Scarves

Hey Friends,

I don't know what is is but, I have developed a thing for oversized scarves! Don't get me wrong I love a good scarf but at the moment, I am really digging the oversized scarves. what do you guys think? are you feeling it as much as i am or is it just me haha... the scarves are kinda strange but at the same time a cool fashion accessory. They go so well with most outfits and at the same time keep you really warm. I may be a little late though, in sharing this with you all because i first noticed the scarves late last year and thought they were different, cute and slightly strange at the same time seeing as they looked a lot like having a blanket in place of a normal looking scarf lol. But, its kind of grown on me now and i have just got my first oversized scarf that i purchased from Zara (I will try and upload an outfit post showing the one I bought). There are so many styles that i have been noticing and thought  i'll share with you a couple that I've come across lately. I know its almost spring and the winter is almost clearing... but, living in the North East the weather pretty much changes whenever it feels like it which sucks sometimes but its all good. The following styles are the ones i have picked out to share with you all please feel free to leave me a comment on your favourite one(s) or what your thoughts are on oversized scarves. Do you like them? what do you think about them? would you wear them?.. etc... would love to know what you think.

Zara Jacquard Scarf

The Zara: Jacquard Scarf - This is one of my favs but its one of those that look more like a blanket. There is something about it though that I like maybe its the usualness of how it looks but yet still looks kinda cool at the same time. It's certainly different thats for sure and looks quite cozy! but saying that hopefully the material used is light in weight.

This is is available from Zara for £22.99

ASOS Oversized Square Scarf With Two Tone Plain Weave

The Oversized Square Scarf is plain and simple but cute. For days where you fancy something with not so much patterns. This could easily be paired with most outfits from a casual look to a smart casual look.

ASOS Oversized Square Scarf With Two Tone Plain Weave £16.00

Im not usually a pattern person as I don't think I'm brave enough to rock it especially bold patterns haha... but, I have picked out the following that I may be persuaded to try out to see if it suits... you never know I might be pleasantly surprised. (I will have to see though haha)

ASOS Woven Oversized Scarf In Geo Shapes

The Oversized Scarf In Geo Shapes is available from Asos for £20.00

ASOS Oversized Scarf In Woven Chevron Pattern

The Oversized Scarf In Woven Chevron Pattern is available from Asos for £18.00

Liquorish Oversized Blanket Wrap Check Scarf

Liquorish Oversized Blanket Wrap Check Scarf is available is also available from ASOS for £22.00

Thats it guys! don't forget to leave me a comment if you wish to do so. Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll catch up with you on the next post.

Work Wear Outfit Inspiration

Hi Friends,

It's been a while since I posted, in fact it's the first time this new year 2016. Happy New Year guys! I am so sorry that I haven't had something up sooner. It has been a crazy one, as usual, balancing a busy work schedule with everything else etc.. Also, I was away Christmas / New Year visiting family in Canada and US. It was brill! I had a fantastic time. Nothing beats being able to spend the holiday season with all your family.

So, about today's post.. You start a new job or you have an existing one and you're thinking, you would like to switch up your work outfit a notch?.. Well, I have always wondered about not wearing the same old boring outfits to work and having a bit more inspiration with work wear. Although, your working environment might have an impact on what you could wear. I work in a cooperate environment where you have to dress smart, although we do have casual days too, which is cool i.e. every Friday and that lol. It's good to maybe think outside the box a little and not make smart clothes seem plain and boring as it might sound. With all these thoughts, I have put together a few work wear Inspo that I would like to share with you all to kick of this year's first post :). By the way, it was Valentine's Day this time last week. I hope you all had a good one, even the single peeps. There is nothing wrong with being single! Check out the ones I have picked out.. although, I must admit though when I was searching for work wears with a little Sass, chic, and sophistication it was difficult to find one that wasn't the norm and a variety. I think there should be more options out there and slightly disappointed that there isn't as much. So, I hope you like the ones I have chosen to share with you all.

The first outfit is from Next, this outfit could also be paired with a nice blazer. Either loose or fitted. this smart look also has a chic look to it plus I love the slouch trousers. The top is styled with a thin strap vest.

Skirts / Outfits:

These might be a basic look so to say, but pencil skirts have a nice fit for when you fancy wearing a skirt and showing off those legs!

This Outfit is from Asos called, ASOS TALL Co-ord Brushed Check Jacket.

Although this outfit is for the Asos tall section, I like the look of it and think it's quite quirky and cute. This could as well fit someone who isn't as tall lol.
